

Mental Health OT
Mental Health (MH) Occupational Therapists (OT’s) support individuals experiencing mental health conditions by assisting them to participate in the everyday activities that people find meaningful using a holistic, strength based and neuro-affirming approach. MH OTs utilise a range of psychological and occupational therapy strategies, to assist people in understanding their capacity to engage in activities, support a person to develop coping strategies for their mental health conditions, and enhance emotional well-being.​MH OT’s can support individuals to increase independence in activities of daily living and engage more successfully within their current roles and relationships.Similar to traditional OT, MH OTs can be delivered multimodal approach including within the home, and/or community.
